I hate Mosquitos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is all
sittin on the floor

Why? Because, 1. I have no chair or desk, and 2. my computer is on the floor, and 3. I can't levitate...yet. So I'm a sittin here, bloggin, and thinkin about how lazy I am. Lazy cause I didn't bring some boxes here to get my stuff and bring it to the other place. Oh well. I did climb today, till I pulled something in my hand and made it burn, and then stopped. I'll try more later. Right now, I'm gonna go back to my other place, and go to bed early. Doesn't that sound like fun?!?

Sleeping Time

I moved ALL weekend!!! My (old) apartment still looks like a bomb was dropped, or a toddler was allowed to run pell-mell through the place, but a significant amount of the moving was done. Rachel and my bedroom at the old place is empty, except for the trash on the floor. The bathroom has not much of our stuff left, and I'm blogging this sitting cross-legged in the office as my desk moved to the other apartment already. I didn't move my computer though, because I don't have internet over there. We moved some of the kitchen stuff and some of the food, but forgot a few essencial things. We made pasta salad-our first real meal at the new place...but didn't have a strainer for the noodles, so had to get creative. We put carrots and cucumber in it, but didn't have a peeler, so had to use the paring knife. Again-creativity. In all, I moved my new double bed and dresser into the place, all my clothes, most of my computer/office stuff except the actual computer, a couch, a futon, and helped move Rachel's stuff into the new place. I moved a bed, a table, a bike, and a lamp and a TV into the truck to go home. I then had to start the unpacking and putting away, as well as the reorganization...cause things just never want to stay where you put them to start with. My body is sore and I'm looking forward to sleeping in my new bed for the first time.

The rest of the weekend was fun to though! Saturday after moving, my parents, Rachel and her mom, and I all went to Kieran's for dinner, then walked through Ribfest, and then went to the Target Fireworks. Target handed out these little "3-D" style glasses, cept they weren't for makin things 3-D. When you put them on and looked at the lights, the light got a halo of a target. Still they were fun and did make the fireworks different. They were great and laster for a long time. Today was mostly just moving. I wanted to go see Seabiscuit today...but that didn't work out. Oh well, some other time.

This coming weekend, Jenny, Katie, Natasha and I will go with Jenni to look for bride's maids dresses. It will be fun to all be in town together. This coming week between-not sure what I'm doing. I do know it will be fun going between the two apartments picking up stuff, leaving the stuff that others need for a while, forgetting stuff and buying stuff we need. And I need to find out where we bring our trash...

Internet use will therefore be sporatic for a bit. I'll have internet all day at work, and will check it at least once a night, but I don't know if I'll be on as much as I have been. BUt never fear, cause I will soon have internet at my new place, and I can put my computer back on a desk and go to town!

Boxing Time

No, I don't mean putting on gloves and one of those nice little helmet things, wearing shiney shorts and punching at someone--though there are people out there who I would love to punch right now...I mean boxing for moving. Yes, my dears, it's that time again. I have a new place, about a mile from my old place, that is really cute. Third floor though, which presents some problems when moving. Older house, so nice little stairways-narrow, dark, and tight turns, and steep, but I'll perservere. Yesterday I moved to shelving things, my sweaters, my winter clothes, and two boxes that were in the front closet being stored. Along with some of my books and my bathroom stuff. Tonight I plan on moving more of my clothes, my shoes, and some of my desk stuff, along with the dishes from the kitchen that we don't need, and maybe an end table or two. If I don't get it moved tonight, it will be at least ready to move tomorrow. I'm not a huge fan of moving out of a place, but moving into the new place and organizing it for the first time and deciding where to put everything and what new stuff I need is always fun.

Tomorrow my parents are coming with my new double bed and a dresser (new to me, but actually gifted me by my aunt). I'll move what I didn't move today over there tomorrow, and then we'll go out to dinner and to the fireworks. Tonight I'm either going to Ribfest, or I'm going to a movie, or I'm staying in. I should go out though...have fun with my friends-those that actually call me and want to do things with me anyway. We'll see what happens. It will be a busy day tomorrow, and sunday is shaping up to be busy as well. I may go to a movie then-I want to see Seabiscuit-and I have Archery.

Should be a weekend full of fun, and maybe (depending on things) I'll get to do some of that other boxing as well...

I've added a poetry page to my website. It has some of the stuff I've written over the last year or two. I have a lot more that isn't done, some of it has been posted on this blog...some is stuff that til now, I have kept hidden. Some of the postings are in that "almost done" stage. I plan to move my guestbook over to the website mainpage and update the picture pages more very soon.

Even More Weekend Fun

This weekend was fun! I went to Door County for my Aunt and Uncle's 50th Wedding Anniversary Party. Thursday night I was in Green Bay though, and I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean again with Katie. Avast! She be a good movie. Friday I slept in and then went to Door County with my Dad and we went out to fish with my Uncle Bob, Aunt Peggy, Aunt Ann, Aunt Joanie, and Aunt Eunie. I had the cajon salmon and it was Delish! Then we went back to Aunt Joanie's place . Dad and I went and walked the property, and after I palyed Spinner (kinda like dominos) and Rummikub (rummy on little tiles) for a few hours with the Aunts. Saturday I was up at 6, but stayed in bed til 7:30. Then I was up, and eating breakfast, and going to the Carlsville Parade (this, by the way, is funny cause Carlsville is a blink-and-you-miss-it town. The parade was about 8 vehicles long, but it was still fun, and they all threw candy at us) It was Carlsville days, and after the Parade, my cousin Paul, his fiance Tricia(Yes, I will soon have a cousin with my name and the correct spelling), his mom Deb, and his sister Tiff with her husband Greg all went to the winery to do the free wine tasting, and then to the little booth shops set up. After shopping it was back to Aunt Joans to shower and change for the party and then the party. (don't you just love the play-by-play?!)

When the party began to wind down I left to go back to GB with my Bro. I called a Shona and we went riding. I rode Molly, her oldest. She rode Slammer, her middle horse. They are both Saddlebreds. They both like to go. I can ride either, but I prefer Molly at this point, cause my seat isn't as good as it could be, and Slammer requires constant attention and a good seat and patience and...well--he's a handful. I was bucked off him a year and a half ago cause a car pulling a sailboat decided it would be fun to honk at us. It was a good ride though, 2 or more hours of trails and the road. Moslty trotting and a bit of Cantering with walking at the beginning and end. Angel, her third horse, is still really green. I'll have to try her sometime when I've had a bit more riding than once or twice a year (which will be soon, since I refuse to be going half a year to a year between rides anymore!!!). She's a Saddlebred-Morgan. All three are beautiful animals. I had a great time. I can't wait to go back.--probably about a month from now.

Saturday night I went out to the bars on Washington with Katie, and we played darts. Then we were bored with the bar scene. We didn't have the patience for it that night....We saw someone hit someone elses car and played the nice people by writing down the license plate number of the hitter and giving it to the hittee. Then we went back to Katies and watches some Inuyasha(and I'm sure I'm spelling that one wrong...but it's a pretty cool anime that is sometimes on Cartoon Network).

Sunday I woke up early, visited with my friend Joe and showed him the trip pics, and then took a nap before heading back to the cities. All in all it was a nice and relaxing weekend...though I am a bit sore from riding today. My poor lower regions... :P

Weekend Fun

Ok, so I realize its Wednesday, and halfway to the NEXT weekend, and I haven't written about last weekend yet. Therefore, i'm going to recap last weekend, and talk about what I'm doing next weekend, right in the middle of both, so it's fair to each...Or something!

Last weekend-motto: ARRG!

Friday night I saw Pirates of the Caribbean with Jenni. We had great fun, I laughed a bunch, and Johnny Depp, who I don't like in a lot of movies, did a GREAT job with that role. I recommend that movie to everyone and their parrots. Then Saturday I didn't have anything to do in the daytime, so I just bummed, and then Chris and I decided to do something semi crazy and drive to EC to a show. Why not, I ask! It's less than an hour and a half drive when you have magical license plates (aka WI plates) and can go over the speed limit fairly safely, and good bands were playing. It was Sue Generis, followed by dna, followed by Skywind. show was awesome, as usual, and I got home and into bed by 4AM hehe, late night! Sunday I just chilled at the apt. again cause I thought I had plans but they fell through.

This coming weekend I'm heading home to GB. It's my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding aniversary and all my aunts, uncles, cousins etc will be there. Familial obligaions--will be fun! Haven't seen many of them in a while, and only had a bit of time to chat with everyone at my bro's grad party a month or so ago. I am going to go see Pirates of the Caribbean with Katie--and I'd like to get in some horseback riding if I can manage it. And of course, there is the obligitory going out on Washington to the bars with the girls (and Joe if he comes).

So that's it. I'm gonna go now and climb in a few hours.

Boom! Batta-Boom!!

This weekend rocked! Katie was here all weekend, and we chilled. It was good to see her again, I had missed the Katie lately. Thursday night we went out to Ground Zero with Karin and danced the night away. Friday we went to the fireworks. Other than having to use our spanish skills to tell the Mexican Gentlemand that we didn't want "hispanic boyfriend" it was all cool. He was ok for a while, it was fun practicing spanish, but then he wouldn't go away! Finally he did though. Then it was all good. The fireworks at the Taste of Minnesota were great fun, 'specially when the helicoptor didn't get out of the way in time and had to high-tail it out of the fireworks or he'd have gotten his little tail propellor scorched. Saturday we went swimming at the pool by my house, not to expensive to get in AND they have a diving board. KT and I showed off our diving and cannon-balling skills and attempted to soak the lifeguards along with the 10-30 yr old guys there (one older guy, who impressed all the kids by being able to make a VERY BIG splash). After that it was a dinner of pizza and then out to kierans with Jenny A. and Jenni. Sunday I went to shoot archery with some friends and then to Charlie's Angels 2. The movie was good. Not so much plot, but action, and I wasn't in the mood to think anyway.

Time for a poemish thing

I wrote this at work, hence it's incompleteness. But the words were there and in my head, with a nice little tune and even a really sweet guitar riff (if only I could PLAY the guitar) So I sat there at my desk and with the tune and beat in my head, started writing. It's not edited, and doesn't make much sense outloud yet...but it's coming:

Untitled

Bring me back to myself
I've turned into someone else-
Who is that person I see, in my mirror
Staring at me, I woke up and guess who I found
The person I lost when you came around

Fight Back! Run away..Come back here-now- I've
got something to say to you :
All these words I've kept inside-
All these emotions and thoughts I've tried to hide-
All this pain, I'll no longer abide
All the silent tears I've cried.

I've come back to myself now,
No longer a prisoner
In a world my own fear created
Free to fly, to soar the skies and bring
back some peace to my mind...

**like I said, it's not done, I got interupted. I'll have it up when I've finished it in the poetry section I'm going to add to my webpage very soon (hopefully by monday). I had another Idea for a poem/song today, but it slipped away, and I'll have to see if it ever comes back.
