The Order of the Update
By order of the Katie, Twin to myself, I must update this page. Not that I mind said order, and have issued similar orders to her in the past.
1. An update on the state of my bruised person: I am doing better, my skin may actually look again like it once looked. I hope I don't scar :P But I think I will be ok. My jaw is just about functional again, though I can't eat carrots yet, and My chin doesn't look quite like I was in a bar fight anymore.
2. An update on books: I have nothing to read!!!! (sound the alarms, make the crisis known unto all the land. I have run out of books. I must trek soon to the place of book-borrowing, known also as the Library, and borrow a book. Perhaps another by Terry Prachett, or something by Robert Jordan. I have been meaning to read the Left Behind series as well)
3. An update on the summer: Climbing is fun, though I wish I could get outside more often. Rollerblading is still fun, though I don't intend to fall again. I WANT to go swimming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. An update on the weather: The weather here has been fishy, full of rain and floods, and hench the fish. There have been bad storms this week, but I love the chance to play in the rain, so all was not lost. Still, it is hard to rollerblade in the rain, or climb outside in the rain, and so we need a FEW dry days here sometime...
5. An update on time: It goes slowly when at work, quickly when having fun, and not at all when you are waiting for something (like water to boil for example). It also seems to dissapear in rather alarming quantities--how the bloody hell is it almost JULY!?!?!
The updating has been completed. Katie, your twin is awaiting further orders. (or, awaiting plans for further mischief...you decide) :P

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
It came out on saturday. I was laid up with injuries. I read fast. I have finished it today. Took less than 24 hours of total time and about 10 hrs of reading time. I won't way a damn thing about the book, you couldn't threaten it out of me. Or use the threat of pain either. I already have that. It's long, about 900 pages. It's fast read, and my advise is read it when you have a bunch of periods where you won't be interupted, you won't want to put it down. Enjoy :P I certainly did...and I know how it ends.. **insert sticking out of tongue and raspberry noises here**

New "Note to Self"...learn to fall
So it seams that Fridays are injury days now. Two weeks in a row, I believe that makes it tradition. Thist time it was a rollerblading accident. I did a good job on myself too. I made it all great and fine 3.75 laps around the lake, and then BOOM. I fell down. I'm not sure how, but I did. It was a very good fall, I impress a bunch of people and lots of people asked "are you alright", to which I promptly replied "yes" even though I wasn't quite sure. I have scraped up most of my left leg and hip, my left sholder, my chin and my left side of face. I also sprained my jaw (although how I did that I'm not sure. I think it had something to do with slamming my chin into the pavement). Before you ask, no I wasn't wearing pads, and had I been, it might have been a different story. I would have fallen in a different fashion. But, the old addage of fall lightly and roll took over, and I didn't break anything, so it must have worked. I have gotten to deal with Urgent Care and such this weekend, they told me that my jaw was not fractured, like the Ask-A-Nurse thought. They bandaged me up, and I went home and sat for the last two days, reading, and being bored. Today I decided to take the bandages off. OUCH! THe bandages liked my leg so much they tried to take up residence on the wounds there. I had a time convincing them to leave, let me tell you! About an hour and many curses later, I had all the "bandage squatters" off my leg and decided to not let any more take up residence. It's caused for an interesting day of dodge any and all things solid with my left side, but it's worked.
I wanted to go climbing and rollerblading tomorrow, I'll see what, if any, I can do. I still have half a floating holiday to use, though if I continue to injure myself on time off, I am going to seriously consider not taking holiday. (yeah right). Oh well, here's to a diet of iced cream, popsicles, and pudding :P

Note to self...Learn to Stop
So, I am bruised and cut. I had a head on collision this weekend, with a go-cart. The two guys in front of me were goofing around. They spun out but I didn't see it cause I was trying not to spin out with Chris hitting my left side. I look up and there they are. BAM!!! I hit them at full speed, biting my tongue, thrown into my harness and gashing my knee. It's all bruised (you can't see the bruise so well, it's deep) and cut. Luckily I heal fast. That was friday night. Saturday I hobbled around at my brother's graduation. only about 60 or 70 people were there, but that is still a lot of people. I learned how to make kegs of Red bull Vodka (hehe) from my cousin Moose, as well as how to start bonfires with a tennisball on an arrow...that didn't work so well, funny story, have me tell you sometime. I hope to be there for attempt number 2...maybe I'll even live through it. Sunday I did Father's Day stuff, and then I tried out my rollerblades. Learning to stop=good idea. I just about was killed on Allouez Avenue after attempting to brake the way I would on my old blades. It didn't work so well. I got beeped at, but my theory was, I was already going fast in one direction. It was better to keep going taht way than to try to turn and fall down in the middle of the street. I'll try not to kill myself, I promise.
I'm going to the lake tonight to practice going and stopping some more. It's really hot though, so we'll see how fast I go. My knee will factor into that a bit. It's so hard to be inside when it's so nice out. I cna't wait. 25 min and I'm free! Then it will be go away to the climbing gym time. YAY!!!!
Here's to hoping I don't die sometime tonight:P

It's the Weekend!!!
Well...almost. The office error didn't turn out to be too much extra work, though I did make that spreadsheet for nothing, since we're using the other one now :P It's still vaguely annoying that I did the extra work though.
My brother's graduation party is this weekend, so I'm heading home to Green Bay. I'll be helping my mom put together a party for 120 or so people. FUN ::sigh:: I don't know who will all be home to chill with when I get there, we'll see.
I get my new rollerblades tonight! Excited I really am. I think I'm going to try them out when I get home. They are friggin sweet. Rollerblade brand Aero9 women's with Abet 7 bearings (aka fast) and a sweet tightening system. And only a bit expensive...score :P
So, until later, have a good weekend.

Office Errors
Don't you hate it when you work really hard on something and it doesn't matter, cause it gets screwed up and you are now going to end up having to redue the work, or do at least as much work to fix it?!?
I do...now to find out how much work I'm going to have to do to fix another person' mistake...even thought it was an honest one. Jeez..**insert sarcasm** I didn't see this coming :S

Back to Work
I had a great time on my vacation, I will write more detail about that at some other time, I plan on getting the pictures developed soon, and then putting them online on my other webpage. I haven't done much work with that yet, but I will soon. I am still in decompress mode from the trip, so I tend to rush out towards physical activity (ie climbing and rollerblading) but not so much towards organizing things in the apartment or working on the computer. We were in London for a few days, and saw most of the sites there (the really big touristy ones anyway) and then headed to Wales to Caernarfon (pronounced ca-nav-orn) and I still may be spelling it wrong, silly me. I'll look it up when I am home. We went castle looking there (best castle I've seen so far) and then climbed a mountain. Then we headed to Scotland, where we were only in Edinburgh. It was a nice bit of a place though, cause Arthur's Seat is just outside of town, providing some great hiking. We saw Edinburgh castle, and went on a walking tour, and did some shopping htere. Then it was back to London (via Leeds and the Armory there) for a night, and what a night. Note to people--stay NOT at the Leinster Gardens Hostel...they make you buy toilet paper, the bathrooms are crummy, and the rooms are well...interesting. We jetted to Ireland for a week, spending time in Dublin and Killarny (county Kerry) doing some hiking in the state park in Killarny and visiting Ross Castle. In dublin we visited Dublin Castle, and the Book of Kells, and did shopping. Then it was back to London for a night, and then after walking in Hyde Park for a few hours while waiting to leave for the plane, it was back to Minneapolis. A busy time, but well worth the trip.
This summer now I have work, 40 hrs a week, sheesh, I'm 3 hours into the first day and I'm bored and hoping for 4PM with every fiber of my being. It's mostly cause the people who give me more than one thing to do are gone. That means I get to work on the project I left unfinished all day, I may even get it done, or mostly done today, if I keep working at an industrious pace. I will try.
I also have to look for a place to live for Sept. It doesn't have to be very close to campus, but it can't be too awefully far away either. There are some options in St. Louis Park, but that is far away and traffic is yuck. I'm thinking still Minneapolis/St. Paul area for me. I'll still be living with Rachel, and there will be just the two of us this year. We will each have our own rooms for the first time since we have lived together, it will be weird. I sense many a sleepover in the same room :P
There is a possible climbing trip in July. I want to go, but have no tent, no sleeping bag, no air thing to sleep on, and most imporantly, no money to buy them. So If I can't go there, I may have to see if I can convince certain people (or person) to go somewhere else for a few days. Who knows. I hope to go to CO though, cause I want to see my little cousin Griffin.
So that is the update on me. Stay tuned, I hope to get more motivated to work on this blog and my webpage and everything. I hope to blog more often as well, if things stay interesting in my life that is.

Hello, Mr. Anderson
Matrix Reloaded Rocks. I saw it last night at 10PM when it was released. I will give no review, and no details, cause people will kick my butt if I try, and this is one you have to see. Maybe you've read things...maybe not. It's action packed, and long, and doesn't really have much downtime...(time where you have to look at your watch to gage how long you've been there). I suggest staying through the credits. I will not say why. I have 5 Papers and 1 final left. Go me.

It's Almost Over!!!
Well, It's tuesday of the last week of class, and I've managed to not go insane. Crazy...yes. Am I stressed to the max?...yes. But I am not going insane. This is a good thing. I have exaclty two weeks til I board a plane and head to the UK for two weeks. I am really excited! We still don't know what we are doing when, or even have places to stay booked, but that is besides the point. We can do that next week.
I have a million and 10 things left to do and I'm freaking out about it. Today, I took off work early to come to school to do a presentation with some people, well-put it together in power point, and I find out they have already done most of it. I'm not complaining that they took the initiative to do it, but they could have told me, so I didn't get here so early. Now I have no homework here to work on and it's driving me batty. Oh well.. I had more to say when I started writing this, but I don't know where the thoughts went. I'll figure that out later.

I give Road Constuction the BIRD!
From Katie's Blog: "As brought on by recent events and a discussion with a close friend, I have come to the realization that I give the middle finger quite often. Now, I know most people will admit to flipping the occasional bird here and there, but there comes a point when it becomes more than just a symbolic representation of the phrase "Fuck you!"--when it becomes...an addiction. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I am addicted to flicking off. "
I think I may have gained just a bit of this addiction here or there from my dear twin. Or maybe it came from my wonderful cousins, who were always flipping me the bird, in as many "creative" ways as they could think of. I would like to formally pass on that tradition towards WI and MN's longest season, and biggest annoyance...Road Construction. Yes, here in WI and MN we have 4 seasons, Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and ROAD CONSTRUCTION! Yes, I realize it is a necessary annoyance, and gives many people jobs, and it is a very respectable job, but you have to understand, it's not kosher at 11PM when you don't expect it.
Yes, I have just gotten done watching one of those jump out and try to scare you with the spooky music and the flashing scenes and the chick with big boobs that likes to scream at annoying pitches horror movies, so I figured I had had my share of badly timed surprises. Then...I could almost feel the spooky music starting, and a few raindrops hit my windshield, and there it was...the big, bright, flashing sign that said..."94 East ramp closed, find alternate route" . What the F^$&? Find a who? I don't know my way about that area, where am I to go? So, I keep driving and I see a second sign..."94 East ramp, Closed 11PM to 5AM"...with some dates I couldn't make out. The music is getting louder, and I have to look behind myself now (and I'm a smart horror movie heroine, I looked in front, behind, on both sides, above and below me, and then I didn't run upstairs or downstairs or into the area where we all know the monster is). Still, nothing to worry about, I'm brave and I am smart, I'll find a way. Third sign (what is it about threes????) 94 east ramp closed, find alternate route. Still the bastards are not suggesting an alternate route. Where is the Minnesota Nice I've heard so much about???!??!?! So, I am starting to get a bit heart thumpy when, there, just on the side of the road, this smart heroine sees what appears to be her salvation. "94 East Ramp, follow Dunwoody exit"
Ok, I can do that. I take the exit, and end up on Hennepin, I know the name of the street, I'm ok. I drive for a while, and I end up downtown (not a fun palce to be when a concert it letting out I can tell you!) and I see another sign, 94 East ---> that way, so I turn. Now I'm on 6th street and going throught the tall buildings, and going and going and going. Why? I think. Why didn't I stick with the origional plan. Now I'm going to get my throat bitten off like those stupid heroine chicks. Still, I had followed an instinct, so I stayed on, in the middle lane, with two escape routes. Down I drove, past the buildings, and past the metrodome. Now, where the hell...Ok, I see two options, turn left, hit Washington, go that way, I can do that, or go straight...I go straight (again the instinct). There are no signs, but all of a sudden I'm on an "on" ramp. Where am I goign? Apparently to 94E! YAY! Then the idiot-single-person-in-his-car-while-in-the-carpool-lane to try to pass me tryes to cut me off. Hells no. So I speed up, almost get run off the road, get the bird from him (probably) while giving him one, while steering one handed around a turn, 20 miles too fast, but making it just and passing him! HA, take that bastard! (Ok, I don't normally drive like that, but it so happened that I felt the need cause I was mad at MN-DoT Orange signs at the moment.)
So now I'm home, adventure over, and I'd just like to honor all the MN-Dot Orange signs that I will see this coming Road Construction season with my middle finger, waiving proudly as a flag, flying high as any bird!

I certainly like to kill things, maybe I should get that checked out?!?

Haha~ I knew it! Katie had this little image thing on her website, and I figured I would follow her excellent example. Great Idea, Twin...I now too have a picture.

Let's not bicker and argue about who killed who!

ROCK!
The dna show last night ROCKED! Lance, Katie, Will, Chris, and I got there in time to hear all the bands, but we didn't pay attention to the first three. We played darts, and pool. I kick ass at darts! Katie had an off night, otherwise we trade wins, but last night it was Katie and Lance on a team, Chris and Will on a team, and me. Little 'ole me played alone. I won too. Will doesn't like to lose :P Tough for him though, cause I like to win. Then He and I were on a team with Chris and Katie on the other for pool, and Lance was a floater. Katie and Chris and floater Lance were kicking our asses, and then...poof, katie sunk the 8-ball and so we won. It wasn't a big deal though. Fun times. About the end of the pool game, Karin and Mark got there, and we chatted in the back for a while. When the third band was almost done, we headed up to the front, and secured our places infront of Ian. The band played the best set I've seen in a while!!!! They won the battle of the bands...of course, and we were happy for them.
The other reason for going out was Lance's Power Hour. He turned 21 at midnight last night...technically, so after the band finished at 12...convienent, no?...we got him his little wrist band, and took him to the bar. Katie and I served him his first legal drink...a shot of tequilla. Second he got a Red Bull/Vodka-from Will, and third, he did a shot of Jagermeister...(I have probably spelled that wrong, but I don't need to know how to spell it, just drink it). I didn't partake, cause I was driving. Mark bought the shot, and Will and Lance partook. Will was ok to drive, but I think he was feeling it a little. Lance however, was smashed. He's a very happy, touchy-feely drunk. Not so much different then him not drunk, but more talkative, and with less control. That will come with time though.
I made Lance sleep on my floor because he was NOT ok to drive, and he went to work and was fine today. I went to work, and then went and bought hiking boots for my trips this summer. Have to break them in first. Now I'm doing laundry and tomorrow I'm going climbing outside at Taylor's Falls.

DNA show this thursday! Band order, uncertain, people going with me, uncertain, fun to be had---so certain. It is Battle of the Bands; I have never heard of the other bands that Down and Above is playing with, but it will be a good time I'm sure. I hope they play at least one of their new songs, but we'll see. They may keep it to older stuff, to appease the crowd. Lance's 21st b-day is Friday, so thursday nighta t midngiht he is officially 21. I told him I'd take him to this show to celebrate (it's 18+ so he can get in before midnight). I think Mark and Karin may join us, and if Will decides to not be a poop, he may too...though he thinks not. His loss, he'd get to see me jammin out and meet some really cool people. His excuse is he has to work, but so do the rest of us :P I'm going, cuase I missed their last show here, and that makes me sad. I don't have night class this thursday---ROCK! I hate that class. So glad it's goign to be done soon.
On another note, I changed the classes I'm registered for now. I think I'll still get all my requirements done, and now I have a two classes I had wanted to take...even though one is a night class. The first, Rise of Civilization...should be fun, but it's a nightclass, so I hope the lecturer is good. The other I added...SELF DEFENSE. I get to learn how to kick some major ass. And a good thing too, cause I'm tired of getting my bum kicked when I wrestle with friends. I know a few things already, but by next december, I'll be all good to go. ANd it's good to know how to defend yourself. Ooh, I'm hungry now, I'll write more about next year and this summer later!

Untitled
A single tear runs down my cheek
Through liquid crystal, a stolen peak
Into my heart, and thoughts I hide
My darkest secrets kept inside.
In soft-lit darkness and shadow grow
All the fear I'm afraid to show.
And in this blanket of deepest night,
My heart does battle with that fright.
In the deafening silence of this place
Uncertainty and emotion now give chase.
Murkey thoughts race through my mind
An end to this war I hope to find.

I felt like Mary Poppins this morning trying to go to work. I walked, in the rain and wind, and the umbrella wanted to fly. We didn't quite make liftoff, but came close several times, and I think I managed to get just as much rain on me as was trapped by the umbrella. Then I had the joy of being at work all wet and clammy and chilled. I love rain, and like to play in it all the time, but not when I have to sit in wet clothes in a cold room in the basement of a campus building doing homework and thinking about still being in my nice bed (be it small, it's still nice). The rain this morning was the nasty wet and cold kind...(ok, yes I realize rain is ALWAYS wet, but that is not the point ). Last night it was the somewhat chilly, but occumpanied by thunder and lightning and wind and fun to play in kind.
I didn't get much done last night, with the storm, and taking a nap, and then being on the phone all night (yay for good conversations and procrastination). I did clean up the apartment and get our recycling out though, which are major accomplishments.
Tonight is more climbing, and more fun, and then homework and picking an outfit for tomorrow night when I go out. I have the bottom half figured out, I just need to find a shirt. Ok, back to more random staring at the computer screen and waiting for the weather to be nice again. At least when it's miserable out I don't feel like skipping class so much....

Wonderful Sunny Day!!!
To which I have declared a holiday. Not going to class, this girl is goign to go outside and play in the sun. I can't stay inside with such wonderful weather outside. I fully intend to take a nap on a blanket in my swimsuit and tan after I get off work in an hour. Yes, I'm at work and blogging, but that is cause I work where I can do homework or blog when I'm not helping people. I should be doing homework, but I'm still burned out from the FE. Besides, I can do that tonight when the sun is NOT out.
I'm going to go climbing later, and then shopping with Karin to find clothes to wear out clubbing. I need knee high black boots. I love the new skirt I have....
I have a CD player in my car now. That is really really nice! I like it lots. It's the override an FM station kind, but it works for my purposes, and I don't mind haveing the wires about. I got the new Evanescense CD. I liked the music too much not too. I really enjoy their sound. Check it out at their webpage.
I think I'm going to go try to do something homeworky for the next hour or so...maybe...til later!

Yay for being Naughty!!!
And before you go and accuse me of oversharing, let me tell you why. It is 6:25 on a Thursday. I am blogging, and eating chips. I am trying to be creative, but there is a really annoying car horn happening outside that is inhibiting it. The main reason for naughtiness is that I'm supposed to be in class right now. I sat through a field trip for almost 10 hrs though, so I desrve a bit of off time before I go to class. I have to print off my homework, and then I'll head up there about break time. That way, I figure I don't disrupt the class. Good reasoning right?!? Here I thought I had all these ideas to blog about right now, but the horn made them go away. On a nice note though, it's beautiful outside, and I will only have to be in class for an hour. I'm done with my homework for the week, mostly, so I can go home, do laundry, and take a nap if I want, or just go to bed...whichever I prefer. Mark wanted me to go out tonight, but I don't know if I'll be up for that, I'll give him a call later on and see what I'm in the mood for. I may just eat iced cream at home, watch a movie, and chill...or-go for a run, I haven't done that in a while either. I need to get in shape. The climbing has been helping, but my belly is still really flabby, and will look terrible in a swimsuit. I have to do some running and some sit-ups. I need to go clothes shopping too, I need outfits, and I need hiking boots for my UK trip. I am so excited about that, still have to plan it though. I suppose I shouldn't skip too much more of class, and my stream of conciousness blogging here should really end. I am in a wierd mood right now, I want to climb a tree, find a nice soft branch, and fall asleep. There are other places I would like to be too, but that is for another blog...

Increase the Apathy
How's that for a band name? Jenni and I are talking online, about how futile it is to bother with schoolwork, when other things, like surfing the net, and chatting, and listening to good tunes by bands like Evanescence or Down and Above can be way better. We feel apathetic, and I was like, anything to increase the apathy. From there, the star was born. Well, not really, it's just another in the list of bands names I can draw from if EVER I finish writing the 8 or more songs I have started, find people to play with me and get to practicing. Some other names for you to ponder, in decending order of coming up with them
1. Increase the Apathy--with Jenni
2. Over Joe's Dead Body--with Katie
3. Sproing!!!
4. Pseudopi--With Katie and Chad, and Jenni would be there too
5. TACKTC-Ok, this one was not really a band name, just a place holder, and it ended up as mine and Katie's License plates for our cars in Project Gotham Racing for X-box. A highly addictive game, and great for early mornings, after fires, wine, and marshmellows.
I will eventually post here some of the parts of songs I have, or even the finished one I have...so keep an eye out!
